Monitors in high-security environments

TEMPEST-compliant monitors

All electronic devices emit electromagnetic radiation (EMR). This includes computer and data processing equipment such as monitors and displays, where sensitive information can be intercepted via these electromagnetic signals. The low-emission monitors in the DuraVision series are designed for extreme reliability. To protect classified or sensitive information from electromagnetic signal emissions, the LE2426 is compliant with TEMPEST (NATO SDIP-27/2 Level B) and German BSI Zone 1.

EIZO has its own electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurement chamber where compliance with various international and industry-specific regulations is tested in-house. This allows EIZO to fully test its low-emission monitors at its own factory facilities to ensure they meet the requirements of TEMPEST.

Image quality

Precise, high-contrast, bright and crisp screen

Highest image quality thanks to AHVA panel

The monitor masters the triad for outstanding image quality: excellent resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, maximum contrast of 1350:1 and stable brightness of up to 350 cd/m2. This means you experience razor-sharp text contours, brilliant graphics and clear images. Thanks to the high-quality AHVA panel with LED backlighting, contrasts and colors remain stable from every viewing angle.

In-house approach

In-house development, production and quality control

100% EIZO design and development

EIZO pursues a fully integrated in-house approach to development, manufacturing, product planning and quality control. Development extends to the component level, making the use of components for EIZO highly transparent. Control over the entire production chain from the outset enables EIZO to ensure quality, minimise delivery times and offer extended life cycle support.

Made in Germany

100% EIZO in-house production

There are various ways to achieve the goal of manufacturing tap-proof IT hardware for use in security-related applications. Short product life cycles for standard IT hardware and the loss of certifications due to interference with the design and/or replacement or addition of components have prompted EIZO to develop and manufacture its own monitors specifically for this application. In addition to development, 100% of the devices are manufactured by EIZO at its production site in Geretsried near Munich, Germany.

EMC measurement chamber

EIZO has its own EMC measurement chamber where compliance with international and industry-specific regulations for emission and immunity can be tested. This is a crucial capability for the development of monitors that are to be used within security zones to display confidential or sensitive information.

Housing design

In addition to the manufacture and selection of electrical and electronic components, the monitor housing (design and materials used) also plays an important role in terms of emission behavior. The untreated contact surfaces in the monitor are equipped with special EMC seals, which provide continuous contact across the entire surface and thus ensure optimum shielding. Strategically placed screw points and effective spot welds further improve the durability and stability of the housing. The housing uses passive cooling, which enables fanless and silent operation.

Micro mesh cover glass

The metal mesh coated cover glass combines advanced functionality with exceptional optical clarity. Thanks to a barely visible, optically adapted micro mesh laminate, visual artifacts are effectively minimized and a clear, undistorted image is guaranteed. Its excellent conductivity enables precise and comprehensive shielding. Additionally, an anti-reflective treatment enhances readability in bright environments by reducing unwanted glare.

LCD controller board

The control board for the LCD modules is developed by EIZO in Germany, from the concept and circuit diagram to the layout of the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board is also assembled in-house.

Firmware

In-house development of device-specific firmware allows us to respond effectively and promptly to changing requirements and guidelines.
This applies not only to the implementation of software change requests with regard to device functionality, but also to changes to the firmware (adjustments to amplitudes, frequencies, and edge steepness), for example.

Fewer connections, fewer emissions

When classified and sensitive data is processed, its protection is not only desirable, but essential. The connections, interfaces, and operating elements of the LE2426 have been deliberately reduced to the bare essentials and carefully positioned to create the best possible conditions for eavesdropping protection right from the design stage. For this reason, the DisplayPort signal and connection, which is considered more secure against eavesdropping, is used instead of HDMI.

Device power supply

Internal power supplies are used to power the monitors. These have been specially developed by EIZO with a focus on long-term availability, temperature stability, efficiency, and minimized radiation.

Sustainability

Environmentally and socially conscious production

Environmentally conscious production

Our quality management system meets the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 9001 quality management standard. LE2426 is produced in our own factory, which has an ISO 14001-certified environmental management system. This includes measures to reduce waste, wastewater, and emissions, resource and energy consumption, and to promote environmentally conscious behavior among employees.

Sustainable and durable

The LE2426 is designed to have a long service life and normally outlasts the warranty period by some distance. Replacement parts are available many years after production has ceased. The entire lifecycle takes into account the impact on the environment as the longevity of the product and the fact it can be repaired saves resources and protects the environment. When designing the LE2426, we took a minimalistic approach to our resources by using high-quality components and materials, as well as a careful production process.

Socially responsible production

The LE2426 is produced in a socially responsible way. It is free of child labour and forced labour. Suppliers along the supply chain have been carefully selected and they have also committed themselves to produce in a socially responsible way. This applies in particular to conflict minerals. We present a detailed report about our social responsibility annually and voluntarily.
