EIZO releases 23.8-inch business monitor for energy-conscious use in everyday workspaces

EIZO Corporation today announced the release of the FlexScan EV2400R – a 23.8-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution monitor developed to support energy-conscious use in everyday workspaces. As the successor to the FlexScan EV2460, it introduces practical updates that respond to growing demand for responsible technology in routine office environments, while continuing to support the needs of essential workplace setups.

The 23.8-inch monitor is the most widely adopted screen size for offices and other environments worldwide1. As such, it has become a standard component of everyday IT infrastructure across industries. Meanwhile, organizations are increasingly focused on reducing energy use across all areas of their IT environment – not only in core systems, but also essential tools like desktop monitors. The EV2400R responds directly to these needs by combining the high-demand 23.8-inch format with advanced energy-saving features, making it a practical solution for responsible, large-scale deployment.

With a typical power consumption of just 8 watts, the EV2400R is one of the most energy-efficient models in the FlexScan lineup. This not only helps reduce energy costs but also contributes to a smaller carbon footprint, supporting broader sustainability efforts.

The EV2400R is the second model in EIZO’s lineup, after the FlexScan FLT, to feature a dedicated Eco Mode. When activated this mode enables both Auto EcoView and EcoView Optimizer 2. These functions automatically adjust fine-tune screen brightness according to ambient light and displayed content, helping reduce power consumption by up to 60%2 compared to operating at maximum brightness.

A new real-time power monitoring function allows users to view the energy consumption of the monitor and connected USB devices directly via the OSD. This encourages greater awareness of energy use in daily routines.

The monitor’s visual performance has been enhanced compared to its predecessor, with a brightness of 350 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1500:1, offering improved clarity while maintaining its exceptional energy efficiency.

The EV2400R is certified by comprehensive global sustainability standards, including TCO Certified, generation 10 and the ENERGY STAR® label. It has also achieved the highest tier of EPEAT Gold, as well as the EPEAT Climate+ designation.3

The monitor’s housing is made of more than 50% recycled plastic, and its packaging uses recycled materials to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact.

For large-scale installations, EIZO offers a collective packaging option that allows up to four monitors to be shipped in a single box, with stands packaged separately or excluded upon request. This reduces packaging waste, improves shipping efficiency, and streamlines unpacking and installation time.

By combining energy efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and the assurance of global certifications, the EV2400R represents a meaningful step forward in making everyday technology more responsible and aligned with organizations’ sustainability goals.
