EIZO introduces an IP video transcoder with low latency and unique multi-stream consolidation for live surveillance applications.
With the DuraVision SGX0031 Streaming Gateway Box, EIZO presents a powerful transcoding and distribution solution that has been specially developed for the requirements of live video surveillance in security, transportation, and industrial environments.
With increasing digitalization across all industries, the volume and complexity of visual data is also growing rapidly. In environments such as airports, city surveillance, and industrial facilities, bandwidth and scalability are critical due to the increasing number of cameras and the need for uninterrupted real-time monitoring. To meet these challenges, EIZO has introduced the DuraVision SGX0031 Streaming Gateway Box, which efficiently transcodes and distributes live camera feeds.
The SGX0031 transmits video from multiple IP cameras simultaneously and delivers clear, real-time images to EIZO's IP decoder monitors and box solutions, where they can be viewed by the operator. The SGX0031 supports both RTSP and SRT protocols, ensuring stable and reliable transmission even over networks with limited bandwidth or unstable connections.
IP video transmission is inherently bandwidth-intensive. When processing multiple camera streams, the cumulative data load can quickly overload standard network infrastructure. The SGX0031 addresses this issue with Merge Mode – a unique feature that combines up to 32 simultaneously received camera streams into a single tiled video stream. This significantly reduces network load without compromising video quality, offering a level of efficiency that revolutionizes visual data management.
An additional low-latency mode compensates for delays caused by the additional processing time required to recode multiple streams in merge mode, reducing latency by approximately 75%. This enables near real-time display even when processing multiple video feeds, making the system reliable for applications with high response time requirements, such as remote control of devices and machines in construction, infrastructure maintenance, and other environments where timing and precision are critical.
In relay mode, the SGX0031 processes incoming video streams and distributes them to specific display environments, relieving the cameras of transmission tasks and optimizing overall system performance. This is particularly valuable in large-scale implementations where network reliability is of utmost importance.
The SGX0031 is compatible with over 300 cameras, including 4K cameras with ONVIF® Profile S, AXIS® VAPIX®, Panasonic, and i-PRO protocols. Users can register up to 48 cameras, making it a flexible solution for a wide range of operational requirements.
